Thomas de Visser is a Dutch professional drummer who specializes in jazz whilst also having stage and studio experience in a large variety of music styles. Playing concerts in cities like Berlin, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, Brussels, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Porto Alegre, Antwerp and Athens has given him the opportunity to work with great artists, including Joe Cohn, John Ruocco, Simon Rigter, Juraj Stanik, Martin Fondse, Rob van Kreeveld, Jorge Pardo, Ondrej Stveracek, Jos Machtel, Roby Lakatos, Mete Erker, Ricardo Pinheiro and many more. He has performed on some of the most important stages, including the North Sea Jazz Festival.
Thomas holds a Master of Music degree from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and recently taught at the Music Department of the Ionian University in Greece. He is currently living in Antwerp, where he worked his way into the international music scene. Thomas studied with some of the finest drummers in the Netherlands and Belgium. Amongst them the great Eric Ineke, Stefan Kruger, Joost Patocka, and the acclaimed American drummer, Steve Clover.
